Lots of rain moved into Colorado on Wednesday, a welcome sight in the drought plagued state. The National Weather Service also issued a Winter Storm Watch though... for Pikes Peak.

Just look at the picture above, it's a screen grab from the webcams on Pikes Peak. That is snow. with Colorado Springs' webcams at the summit. It's only September 12th, but it looks like the warning was right from the .
The warning was for a possible 8 inches of snow. The got the best reaction to the warning for publication this morning:
"Holy moly! That's not gonna happen," exclaimed Brenda Wilson, a Pikes Peak Ranger, after hearing the news on Tuesday afternoon. "It's too warm."
This isn't the earliest recorded snowfall though. The earliest snowfall trace for and for of the same year.
