State lawmakers are a little more than halfway through the 2013 legislative session, and there鈥檚 been no shortage of drama and divisive issues.

KUNC鈥檚 state capitol reporter Bente Birkeland spoke with fellow statehouse reporters about what鈥檚 happened so far and what still lies ahead.

In 2017, Bente was named Colorado Journalist of the Year by the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), and she was awarded with a National Investigative Reporting Award by SPJ a year later.
