Tuesday at 11:58 a.m. - Speaking in front of fallen officer Eric Talley’s patrol car this morning, Gov. Polis called the shooting a horror and terror for the entire state. Authorities also identified nine other people who had been killed. The victims were men and women who ranged in age from 20 to 65.

Updated Monday at 12:54 p.m. - The number of Northern Coloradans affected by power outages has now declined to 15,000. Many were left powerless overnight as Xcel Energy crews were unable to reach downed power lines due to whiteout conditions and snowed-piled roads. The majority of the outages are still in Weld County.

Supporters of President Donald Trump broke into the U.S. Capitol building Wednesday in a chaotic insurrection, disrupting the work of Congress in certifying the results of the Electoral College vote from December.
