A former Colorado sheriff's deputy has been convicted of criminally negligent homicide in the shooting death of a 22-year-old man in distress who called 911 for help after his car got stuck in a small mountain community. Jurors found Andrew Buen guilty Thursday in the 2022 death of Christian Glass.

Prosecutors announced the new charges Friday, a day after a former sergeant previously charged in connection with the death of Christian Glass pleaded guilty to failing to intervene.
