Dan Greenwood
My two main passions are music and a fascination with the news.
I was exposed to public and community radio at a young age, first with college radio and later with public radio in my home state of Minnesota. A Prairie Home Companion was a mainstay with my family growing up and yes, lutefisk and hot-dish recipes are quite common.
My first experience in Colorado was when I was on tour with a rock band in 2006 and I became fascinated with the backdrop of lonely mountains covered in snow even in the summertime. I discovered KUNC shortly after moving here last year and am thrilled to be the new host of Weekend Edition!
When I’m not behind the microphone, I play the guitar, hike, cook Southeast Asian food and read about exotic places that I hope to visit someday.
