The sounds of the weekend. As today brings the Greeley Blues Jam to town, step inside for a soulful song from Lee Fields, some Blues from the 2011 Jam, and some live Danielle Ate The Sandwich.
People first became aware of the music of via his first single, "Bewildered" b/w "Tell Her I Love Her," but never really hit it big nationally. Lucky for funk fans, he persevered and re emerged in the 90's, touring in the southern soul and blues circuit. At that time, Fields recorded with Desco Records, which Steve Huey of the describes as Desco finally morphed into the musician owned and run .
In 2004, Jeff Silverman and Leon Michaels formed and contacted Fields to record with their house band, The Expressions, starting this new and exciting musical chapter in Lee Field's life.
