Colorado Schools Make Peace Corps’ Top Colleges list

University of Colorado-Boulder, the University of Denver, and Colorado State University for the Peace Corps this year.

Among large colleges, The University of Colorado-Boulder ranked fourth nationally with 93 Peace Corps volunteers and Colorado State University ranked twelfth with 72 volunteers.

Among graduate schools, the University of Denver ranked second nationally with 20 volunteers and Colorado State University fifth with 15 volunteers serving in the Peace Corps.

4. Tulane University – 16 volunteers
5. – 15 volunteers

CU-Boulder is the fifth highest volunteer-producing university of all time with 2,353 alumni having served in the Peace Corps. CSU is the fourteenth highest volunteer-producing university of all time with 1,551 alumni having served in the program.

In 2012, the Fort Collins-Loveland area for Peace Corps volunteers. It was the only Colorado location to be ranked in the top 10.

My journalism career started in college when I worked as a reporter and Weekend Edition host for WEKU-FM, an NPR member station in Richmond, KY. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.A. in broadcast journalism.
