Some 20 people gathered at the Friday to witness the opening of a time capsule buried in 1907. It was about half the size of a cereal box, and packed tightly with newspapers, postcards, photographs and letters.
The forgotten time capsule was placed in the cornerstone of what was once the YMCA building at 140 Oak St. in downtown Fort Collins. It was found during demolition of the building. The contents will be added to the Museum of Discovery archives.
