Colorado鈥檚 unemployment rate fell to 6.9 percent in April. That鈥檚 two tenths of one percentage point lower than March鈥檚 rate of 7.1 percent.
Private sector nonfarm payroll jobs increased by 11,600 from March to April with no gains in the government sector.
According to the , largest over the month jobs gains were in professional and business services and leisure and hospitality. Largest over the month decline was in trade, transportation and inutilities.
That national unemployment rate was at 7.5 percent in April.
