The ten-year-old is stopping publication. The rising cost of print and declining ad sales were cited as two main reasons behind the move.Daily ڱ Publisher Kristie Hannon told the that the conditions were no longer “sustainable moving forward.” The newsroom of the free daily newspaper was small, and it circulated about 25,000 copies daily.
The announcement comes more than two years after another Denver-based paper, the Rocky Mountain ڱ, stopped its publication.
Another newspaper co-founded by Hannon, the Vail Mountaineer, is also shutting its doors. The Denver Daily ڱ was started in 2001.
