An audit of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which oversees the project, found the cost has grown to a whopping $14.8 billion dollars. A museum commemorating the victims of the 9/11 attacks was scheduled to open this month. Construction was delayed because of a fight over money, but an agreement last night could pave the way for construction to resume.
