You may be familiar with the TV show 鈥淲ho Wants To Be A Millionaire?鈥� Colorado has launched its own version, and all residents who are vaccinated against COVID-19 are eligible to win. The state announced it will give away $1 million weekly between June 4 and July 7, using federal CARES Act money that would have gone to vaccine advertising. But how well vaccine incentives actually work remains a bit of an open question.

The winners of a third of the Powerball lottery call themselves "Ocean's 16." They famously showed up for work at the Ocean County Vehicle Maintenance Department after realizing they were about to become millionaires.

Three winning tickets were sold for the $448.4 million jackpot. Of the two bought in New Jersey, one belongs to 16 people from the vehicle maintenance department in Ocean County. They haven't been identified yet. A Minnesota man, though, has stepped forward to claim his share of the prize.

Many people think about the lottery only when jackpots are high and they want to strike it rich. Behind the scenes though, there's more than scratch and鈥�

Gloria MacKenzie of Florida showed up at the lottery office Wednesday 鈥� revealing herself as the winner of last month's record Powerball jackpot. The 84 year old opted to take her winnings in a lump sum, rather than over time.

A California woman turned on the TV last week and saw she had the winning numbers in Wednesday's drawing. She thought she had won $360 million. It turns out she bought her ticket an hour after Wednesday's drawing.

If you bought a Poweball ticket in Zephyrhills, Fla., sit down and check these numbers: 10, 13, 14, 22, 52 and 11. Lottery officials say only one ticket matched all six numbers to win Saturday's record jackpot.

There's at least $360 million up for grabs, the third largest jackpot in the lottery's history. And your chance to claim the winning ticket has improved 鈥� though it's still not great: 1 in 175 million.
