Vice President Biden and his Republican opponent, Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, faced off tonight in their only debate before the Nov. 6 election.

Neither Vice President Biden nor GOP Rep. Paul Ryan gave any quarter Thursday night. The two men were pointed and at some points personal in discussing their differences across a broad range of domestic and foreign policy issues.

With guns blazing, Martha Raddatz took over the reins of Thursday's vice presidential debate and never let go. While Vice President Biden and GOP Rep. Paul Ryan engaged in an intense face-off, Raddatz kept the debate moving, ultimately becoming the one uncontested winner of the evening.

There were some sketchy claims about health care, security at the U.S. Consulate in Libya, and other subjects. But early analyses aren't pointing to any huge whoppers.
