Congratulations Spring Graduates

This weekend is commencement for spring graduates at both Colorado State University and the University of Colorado. The University of Northern Colorado graduated their spring class last weekend. Congratulations to all of the graduates!

This is a celebratory weekend for all graduates and their families. I wish you nothing but the best of luck for you in your future endeavors. While I haven't been asked to give any commencement speeches this year, or ever for that matter, I can offer some nuggets of advice.

You're getting a lot of advice this weekend, tomorrow, and probably for the next week or two. I'll be brief:

  • "...As you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." -

Seriously though. As a bald man, this I believe: wear sunscreen.

I鈥檓 not a Colorado native (did you know that "I'm from Missouri" means "I'm skeptical of the matter and not easily convinced?") but I have lived here for most of my life and couldn't imagine leaving. After graduating from Colorado State University, I did what everyone wants to do; I moved to the mountains and skied, hiked, and hid from responsibility! Our listeners in the mountains may know me from my time in Steamboat Springs and Vail or as the voice of the Battle Mountain Huskies Hockey team in Vail.
