With Memorial Day weekend just around the corner, summer will be here before you know it. Get out your calendar and let's tour through three very worthy, and rather different, summer festivals!

Enjoy Neko Case, Iron & Wine, Girlyman, Lyle Lovett & His Large Band, Holly Near, Elephant Revival, and Kathleen Edwards, among other musical luminaries at in Lyons (August 17-19). This festival is in remarkable proximity to colorful Boulder and majestic Rocky Mountain National Park. Make it a twofer or threefer, in days or sites.

Also on the billing: Shakespeare's Richard III, Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, Michael Frayn's knee-slapping Noises Off, and Tina Packer's Women of Will -- a rich tour through some of the strong female characters of Shakespeare.
